Battery Technology

The Aurelia X8 Standard Long-Endurance (LE) comes with the newest battery technology for drones.

The new technology has twice as much energy inside than a more conventional battery of the same weight, plus they are safer to handle.

The new battery technology will increase your actual flight time by 40% to 60%, depending on the setup of your drone and the flight conditions.

The Aurelia X8 Standard LE features an open-source Pixhawk flight controller, offering endless possibilities to customize your drone for your specific operation.

The standard configuration is set up with ArduPilot software, however, upon request, we can install PX4 instead.

Three different flight Pixhawk controllers are offered, more information about each is available at the bottom of this page.

We are proud to support domestic supply chains in our products. The Aurelia X8 Standard LE features extensive use of U.S manufactured components throughout its systems. Our flight controllers and onboard electronics are all manufactured in California, giving you the performance, reliability, and sophistication Aurelia Aerospace strives for.

The Aurelia X8 Standard Long-Endurance (LE) is both NDAA 848 and TAA compliant.

Designed for ease of use, the Aurelia X8 Standard LE features an LCD status display at the rear of the aircraft. This status display gives you quick insight into the current flight mode, GPS satellites locked, failsafe warnings, battery levels, and more.

Another design feature designed to enhance ease of use is an onboard mini toolkit. This toolkit features all the hex wrenches used in the Aurelia X8 Standard LE allowing you to quickly make repairs, or swap propellers when out in the field even if you forget your own tools!

In less than 30 seconds, with a click of the button on each arm joint, the Aurelia X8 Standard LE can instantly fold down, allowing for quick disassembly and easy transportation.

Did you know that airlines only have maximum liability coverage for flights by the Montreal Convention of approximately ±$1,600 USD (1,131 SDR)? This is the most that airlines must pay a passenger or company for a lost, damaged, or delayed package or bag.

With this Airtag you will know the exact location of your drone at all times when transporting it with our embedded Airtag. Possible package loss due to transport will herewith be nearly minimized to 0% risk. You can get geolocation at all times, of the exact location of your package.

After your package has arrived at the destination, you are able to connect the Airtag to your own iOS device and keep using the Airtag for any purpose.

With more than 20 available flight modes, the Aurelia X8 Standard LE has a flight mode for any mission. The free QGC, QGroundControl mission planning software available for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS devices allows you to set flight modes, program routes over a Google Maps overlay, set altitudes, geofencing, and much more. Every Aurelia X8 Standard Long-Endurance comes standard with end-to-end AES-128 encryption. It ensures that the link between your ground station and your drone is secure at all times.

Electronics for the Aurelia X8 Standard LE have been custom designed and fabricated by Aurelia Aerospace, designed to deliver performance, reliability, and sophistication.

Aurelia Aerospace custom-designed motors are IP rated, allowing you to fly in dusty or wet environments without issue.

The octocopter design allows the Aurelia X8 Standard LE to operate with only 8 functional motors, allowing for increased reliability and protection of your payload.

In the event the Aurelia X8 Standard LE is involved In a crash, the propellers are designed to shear, protecting the motors and electronics from costly damage.

The application is easily accessible via any internet browser on a cell phone, tablet, or computer, and all data is stored securely in the cloud. No software downloads are needed.

Flight Simulator Software to Practice*

Avoid costly crashes and become an expert at flying your Aurelia X8 without ever touching your physical drone. Included with Aurelia Assist, the flight simulator compatible with Windows computers allows you to use the Radiomaster transmitter included with your Aurelia X8, connected to your computer via USB to practice flying.

Program flights using Mission Planner in the simulator, and see how changes to the aircraft's configuration affect its flight performance. See how wind, environmental changes, and more affect the performance of the drone using adjustable settings in the software.

The Drone Servicing Kit 101 is the perfect add-on for your Aurelia X8 Standard Long-Endurance to have your back when you want to make basic replacements to your drone.
